Equity. Innovation. Opportunity.

Build the next generation of makers, founders, and problem-solvers.

Tech and the Unicorns is a nonprofit organization that delivers community-based STEM programs for elementary and middle school students in under-resourced communities.

Through 3D printing, engineering, mentorship, leadership, and entrepreneurship programming, we help young people build confidence, technical fluency, and real-world problem-solving skills.

What We Build

Programs that turn curiosity into capability.

Each track is practical, repeatable, and partner-friendly for schools, libraries, and community organizations.

3D Printing Labs

Students move from idea to prototype through guided design, modeling, and fabrication sessions.

Best for: school partners, libraries, and community sites introducing youth to maker skills.

STEM Skill-Building Tracks

Project-based learning builds technical confidence, teamwork, and problem-solving through repeatable lessons.

Best for: multi-week cohorts and after-school enrichment programming.

Leadership Development

Students practice ownership, communication, and civic-minded leadership alongside STEM learning.

Best for: organizations that want growth in both technical and personal development.

Entrepreneurship Exposure

Youth connect creativity, innovation, and business thinking through hands-on challenges and mentor guidance.

Best for: partners preparing students to see themselves as future founders and builders.

Important: Donations and sponsorship support help expand program access. Online giving is routed through Stripe-hosted pages, and site policies are available on our Legal page.

Students learning together in a STEM classroom
How It Works

A simple path from access to momentum.

  1. Partner locally. We work with schools, libraries, and community organizations serving under-resourced youth.
  2. Bring the tools. We deliver hands-on STEM programming built around practical projects and emerging technology.
  3. Add mentorship. We pair technical learning with leadership development and entrepreneurial thinking.
  4. Build confidence. We help students build exposure and momentum toward future education and career pathways.
Impact Model

Access is the first prototype.

We promote equity, equality, and opportunity through hands-on STEM education centered on 3D printing, leadership, mentorship, and entrepreneurship.

Access

We bring technology learning to communities where equipment, instruction, and opportunity are often limited.

Confidence

Students build belief in their own ability to create, solve problems, and lead.

Mentorship

Programs connect youth with professionals and community leaders who model possibility and accountability.

Future Readiness

Experiences connect classroom learning to careers, entrepreneurship, and long-term civic contribution.

Vision

Every child should have a real chance to build with technology.

We envision a future where every child, regardless of income or background, has meaningful access to technology, education, and opportunity to become an innovative leader and responsible citizen.
